Hillary Blackton
I have been teaching hatha yoga for the past 42 years, and teaching full time for the last twenty-two years. I keep my classes small so I can give individual attention to each student.

I have practiced yoga for over 49 years and continually devote time to yoga study and practice. I have been influenced by many styles of yoga including Sivananda Yoga, Kripalu Yoga, Integral Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, and Iyengar Yoga. I combine the various styles for a challenging, invigorating and creative approach to yoga that fulfills the particular needs of each student.

Classes are different each week, so there is always something new to experience. You work at your own level as you and I pay attention to your body, its challenges, needs and limitations. In sharing my unique style of yoga, you will also experience and learn the philosophical and psychological aspects of yoga.

I have studied and practice Buddhist and Transcendental Meditation and give students quiet, seated, meditative time at the end of class to continue to calm the mind.

I was trained and certified to teach Pre-Natal Yoga by the Integral Yoga Center and have touched the lives of many women and their unborn children, helping them to create a more relaxing and empowering birth experience.

I was trained and certified to teach hatha yoga by Ruth Bender's Hatha Yoga Teachers Course, a 30-day Teacher Training with the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center, and attended an Advanced Yoga Studies Training with Donna Farhi.

I pride my teaching as a way of making a difference in the lives of my students. They each come to yoga with different issues whether physical or psychological. We work together to enhance their life and come to an understanding of peace and tranquility for all.
